I've driven a few more cars

Post by neildavies »

Namely a Ferrari 360, a Porsche 996, a Lotus Elise and a Subaru Impreza WRX. It was a birthday present from my wife for my 30th last year.

If anyone's considered one of these, go for it, a fantastic time. You get to sample the speed of the Ferrari and Porsche and also get to throw about the impreza and Lotus.

Basically, they've made a track up on an airfield and you get 3 laps in each car. We were there about 3 hours, and it was nice to see the others and how their driving was. (I might have been over enthusiastic in both the Porsche and Subaru, as I kept catching up the ferrari)

My choice of which one I've go for if i had a chance to go in another one? The impreza. Very Rapid and superb handling (and it might be to do with the instructor who was very encouraging!!)

Also, for £30, I got Mrs Neil a couple of laps driving a Ferrari 355.

Here's some photos of it all:

It was an impreza WRX, rally prepared so stripped out too. Not realy any restrictions, only to get as fast as you can before the "Brake" sign.

I recommend it, brilliant day.

No, nothing like that, but was a bit of squealing whenever I could.
