Driving to work, I get to the speed limit and auto pilot reaches for the the fags.
Having said that, I gave it up for four years, but there was always something missing (you never completely lose the habit) and needlessly I started again.
Never having been a heavy smoker, I would never-the-less suggest 'don't even start'

........and my ashtray is completely unsoiled. Like they say never use the ash-tray until the floor is full (ie. the road in this case)

I have to admit......In the hot summer sun, the smell of a freshly lighted cigarette is very inviting, funny that..... maybe the will to smoke never actually leaves you?

All I know is this....I am pleased I don't smoke anymore.

When I first got my 406... the interior was a beige yellow.

Once I had the time to have a good look at it, I realised that it was fag discouloration. I scrubbed for hours to restore the interior to its nice light oiffwhite/grey self it is today.

Also, smoking, even with the window open, deposits tar on your windscreen. Thats why you smokers have that haze effect on your screen when the sun hits it at certain angles, no matter how hard you polish.

I'm a cigar chomper, 3 or 4 a day. i don't smoke in the car as I hate the musty smell. If i'm on a long journey i'll stop every couple of hours to let me gammy knee recover, and that's the time to chill with a quiet puff.

I hate ciggies theough - they make me gag and want to puke. Weird, ed?

I'm sure you can Dai, and I think they're unbelievably cheap for a Peugoet part. You can get them in a dealer.

Anyone got a part number for this item? I asked my local dealer if they had one, and he looked at me is if i'd come from mars (not the confectionary company!)

i know its a bad thing but i likes me smokes but i do believe your actions shouldnt have a detromental effect on others so i understand the ban on enclosed spaces but why do we smokers need to banned from grounds all together ie hospitals etc such as my nearest hospital which has just removed its smoking hut from its grounds? surely thats a bit of overkill? anyway sorry gone off on a bit of a

I think it was only an option on the Coupe, so ask them to check under that

And following on from TurboLags comment about smoking whilst driving being distracting.

Which is worse from a safety point of view whilst driving

1) munching on a bar of chocolate
2) lighting up and smoking

Considering there was the tabloid coverage of the woman who was pulled over for eating chocolate on the motorway, why has no-one ever been pulled over for smoking?

I agree, while actually smoking ain't really distracting, lighting up is - which is why I only do it when stopped...

ive seen people do far more distracting things than smoking,reading maps whilst driving looking for cds in glove box,doing make up in rear view mirror etc yet its always smoking that at the brunt of it

i was on the m40 a while back and there was a golf in front of me going across all three lanes (it was about 1 am so there wasnt many people about)
when i got close enough i saw that it was a woman reading a book while driving and only looking at the road she nearly drove off it

it was probably a book on the effects of smoking!!! were responsable for all that is bad!!!!!!!
