The Peugeot dealer sucks. He can't get any of the nuts. Will only order if I want 10....I wouldn't mind too much if it wasn't for the £1.70 each price tag!!!! I can get 20 delivered off ebay for that! Anyway I am heading to the local nut and bolt shop tomorrow after work to finally get this sorted!!!

Today I did a bit more wiring, Managed to get the intake pipe bolts hand tight but there is NO ROOM!!! Also managed to get one side of the downpipe connected...Just got to get the other side sorted. The engine is sitting slightly didfferently after the swap so I need to disconnect the rubbers on the exhast so I can mesh it onto the turbo properly though!!!

Tomorrow I am finally changing balljoints, fitting driveshafts, and getting the hubs back in place. Then I'm sorting the aux belt set up, And the radiator if time/patience permits and then hopefully start getting all the plastic stuff back in place!!!

what a bunch of wankers, ive bought just 2 nuts before, those nuts are a bugger, and the downpipe is very tricky, especially as its sooo long on the 1.9td

Neraly everything done now apart from driveshafts. A friend was meant to drop the socket round but he hasn't so i have been stuck!!!! Anyway....Where does all the vac piping go? There is a little thing held onto a bracket with a plug in it on the back of the engine bay. Looking at it from the front of the car, it appears that it has 3 little nipples for vac pipe. One points up, one points down and one points right....Where do these go? I think the down one goes to the thing on top of the turbo the up one goe's to a thing near the brake stuff and then I have the one that points right and i'm not sure where it goes. Maybe if you could pop a couple screenshots of the stuff mentioned from the npeugeot parts system james?

Cheers!!!

Now the passenger side driveshaft came out a piece of piss. The drivers side one is trying my patience.....

Could someone explain exactly how I do the bolts? I am following haynes but either i'm not turning thbe bolts properly or the driveshaft is very stiff. I have loosened the nuts right up now which way do I turn the bolt so it will disengage the intermediate bearing. Clockwise or anti clockwise(looking from the passenger side). Any tips on getting the driveshaft out?

Rob

I'm in the process of removing a drivers side driveshaft too. And wouldn't ya know it, i rung the 11mm nut on the offset bolt holding in this bearing   . I have minimal room there but gunna try hammering on a 10mm socket tomorrow. Not too sure if theres enough space for me to get vicegrips on it :(

I F**king love you James! That EGR stuff was pissing me off. I couldn't remember where it was routed! Everything is back together now apart from the driveshafts. Going to pick the 36mm socket up this afternoon so may do this tonight when it's a bit cooler.

Then tomorrow I will do fluids and hopefully turn the key - getting abit nervous now... :cheesy:

that out let would go to the turbo control solenoid, but as the 90 doesnt have an electronic boost controller its not aplicable,
the reason your supposed to slacken the camshaft pulley bolts when doing the cambelt is so that when you turn the tensioner it tensions the entire length of the belt (or at least 90% of it) equally and evenley

yep blanking the pipe wont be a problem, and as long as you turn the pulley not the camshaft and the bolts are still central after tensioning then the timing wont be out, are you getting the info from a haynes manual

no go right ahead, the autodata book is far better though not as descriptive, its what i use at work when we get a non-volvo timing belt job
