It's not for the D9 1.8 Rapier either, looks nothing like the coil pack on the top of mine... nowhere near wide enough. Good luck with the sale though.

Thanks..mine looks alot wider too, so god knows what it fits

Hhmmm, Thanks James. So it looks like it doesn`t fit a 406 at all then?. Bugger. I know squat diddly doo about the 106,206 etc,etc. I`ll just have to try and sell it under pug/citroen car bits then.
Could you tell me what the "TU" and "L4" is all about?

TU is the type of engine block coded by PSA, this engine never appererd in the 406, instead it got the XU, EW, DW and the mighty ES
L4 is a type of emissions control, L3 has one oxygen sensor, wasted spark and simletaneous injection, wereas the L4 has two oxygen sensors, the cat is part of the exhaust manifold (to reduce the warm up time) direct ignition and sequential injection
