I noticed yesterday that I had a small patch of what smells and looks like diesel. It seems to be coming from the head around the injectors. Is it possible for injectors (or it's seals) to "leak".
Here's where the leak is:
And closer...
I wiped it a bit yesterday and it remained dry-ish so it obviously accumulated there over time. Also, the surrounding seams to be quite dirty with soot and ... stuff... Is this normal or should I check something?
There's no loss in power or anything like that (except a weird hollow whistting noise at 2600 rpm, which has been there for ages).
Any ideas?

Dunno if it's just the photo but it looks just like the damp-looking 'gunk' I've got all over my (petrol) engine....

Is it anything to worry about or should I just mop up once in a while? Why does fuel "overspill"?

Looks like it could be dripping from the rubber pipes that go in between the injectors. Had these go on out 1.9 306 and my 2.1 406. The pipes are a couple of pound and pull off / push on. 5 minute job.
If I were you, while your there, change them all, as the rubber is probably equally perished on them all.
Hope it wasn't Dai's driving caused it!!

No, it's definitely not the pipes, they are completely clean and dry.
Well, I did have to go up to 100mph to catch up with you lot on the last straight before pulling in....
