Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

You know of a chip that'll speak VAN bus? It appears I need one for my custom trip computer project (based on an LPC21xx microcontroller) because I can't seem to find any documentation on the protocol to implement it myself

My brother bought a code reader from ebay, worked with my car on with KWP2000. it is bright orange, but i don't know the make and can't spot one on feabay at the minute

D8 owners are sh*t out of luck.... unfortunately, unless they do their own little projects, no one makes a scanner for the PRE 97's :(

niz you donut, get a draper fault code reader for a early 306, it wont say on the box its compatable with a 406, but it is, as long as you have the 32 way brown diagnostic socket, not the OBDl plug, then all you have to do is find someone who has autodata and the instructions are on there, if i remember ill have a look on monday at work

well ok, have a look on ebay for a TEP, they are extremely rare, and very fookin expensive but they are the genuine pug code reader for the none-OBDl plugged cars
