I am planning on replacing my rear wheel bearing very soon, have read and digested the Haynes on the subject, and it looks pretty straight-forward, anyone done this job, and is there anything to look out for, tips etc?
I do enjoy the simplicity of the d8, the part is listed as a hub assembly, a very shiny bit with splines. It seems you just have to pull the old part out, and drift the new bit in (fingers crossed).
I am holding out for the weather to change before i get the thing in bits, could be waiting a while!!
its called a drive flange
i had to replace one on mine only as i mullerd the thread for the wheel bolts
as foggy said you need a bloody good puller and a slide hammer to get the bugger out
mine had discs on the back which makes it slightly easier to change but there fairly straight forward to change its just getting the old bugger out
