Circle light indicator when i hit the brake

Post by k3nny »

There's a light indicator whenever i hit the brake, asked a few people and they say it was an indicator saying my brake pad needed to be replaced.

i went to the workshop, they say my pad still in a good condition. and they put the pad back in. the light was gone ... for a while.

a few days later, the light goes on and off again. what the hell??!?!?!

f.y.i: the car was drowned from the flood, but other electrics works fine. engine run normal. (pretty good for a french electrics)

100% the brake pad light. I know on my coupe last year I had this light coming on pretty dim when braking in heavy rain. I took the wheels off to check the pads and they were fine, just like you. The light had gone on the next fine day.

I'd say when the pads on yours are dry, the light will dissappear, either way, youve nothing to worry about.

my light comes and goes too, i know my pads are ok, its just a dodgy brake wear sensor somewhere, i know i mullerd the front ones when i did the clutch so its most likely one of them

Sweeet ....

@neildavies: yeap, i think my pad is ok. the light disappeared if i've drove several km's. so ... it's a relief then.

@james: gonna check the sensor as well man, probably it was screwed from the flood.

but these 'bad calls' almost had me change my brakepad. i think just in case something do wrong with the braking system, i'll send my car to peugeot tommorow to make sure it is properly working.

thanks guys. :D
