Alloys part II: The revenge!!

Post by Foghorn Leghorn »

Woo hoo!! Finally won me some alloys on the Bay of E (After some rotten swine swiped the last lot from under my nose! :frown:  :cheesy: )

Image

Got them for the princely some of £171, not bad for Nimrods as they usually go for £220-£250.

Tyres are wrong size but will sort out a full set of Eagle F1's. Going to strip them back, prime, paint and laquer them so they're better than new ( dab hand at this, done LOTS of sets before now).

Quite pleased with myself at the moment :cheesy:

I want some of them

Are they off a 406? because the offset is different to a 206 GTI

The 16" Nimrod wheels on the 406 and 206 are exactly the same, I checked with local dealer (can't remember the actual offset of the wheel itself)

Nice, 16" nimrods are on my list of stuff i want to do to my car.

it would be nice to see few pics once you have them on and comments on how the bigger wheels/lower profile tyres effect the handling and ride.

Pics are a definite, might do a little how to guide for refurbing alloys too.

Foggy!

Are those off the 206 or 406, the thing is that there are apparently two different types of Nimrod wheels?

According to Peugeot dealer they are exactly the same, you can get a 15" version though.

Really because here in Australia, I was after a set for the 406, using a set off the 206 and was told I needed spacers!

Check this thread I made asking about it on Aussiefrogs - especially the last reply :)
