Hi there;
Today I fitted a set of nimrods off a 206 on to my 406, and all I had to do was to fit a set of 15mm wheel spacers. So you dont need to put them back on ebay just buy some spacers, the tyres are 205/55/16. I haven't took car out yet to test it out but everything looks ok cant see any rubbing anywhere.
I hope this is helpful

15mm spacers!! I hope you put in some good wheel bolts, The central hub is used to support the wheel and to keep it central. With spacers fitted your wheel will be off centre and will also only be supported by the four wheel studs. The wheel bolts are not designed to be used for supporting the wheel, only to hold it in place.

Also I know here in Australia, spacers are frowned upon by insurance companies and they will deny a claim if they find out that you have been using them due to the safety implications involved! Hence why my 406 doesn't have a set of nice and shiney wheels on it....yet! Just gotta keep your eyes out for a 406 set - try all the wreckers...there has to be a 406 nimrod set out there somewhere!
