Electric window problem after changing battery.

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Electric window problem after changing battery.

Post by diesel-dog »

After changing the battery, the windows are misbehaving!!
It affected all four electric windows whereby when closing they will only go up in stages, and send themselves back down again!!

the back windows seem to have sorted themselves out, but the fronts are still the same! Is there some kind of reset procedure after disconnecting the battery? :?:

Thanks

they need reprogramming, as you have one touch windows all round you need to do the following, hold the up button down and keep pressing it and releasing it to go up then hold it down to go down, you need to do this for about 10 mins untill the window has programmed the lowest and highest position, once this is eventually done, it will take ages, leave all the windows down make sure all the doors are shut then dead lock the doors with the remote and all the windows should shut, job done
