Just wondering... what the hell was wrong with the old wires that used to connect everything together on the D8's and never ever go wrong. That Bull-Sh*t-Interface seems to give NO advantages to the old method whatsoever. I mean, even the SWITCHES need to be matched to a car?! Imagine a light switch paired to a house.. easier to buy a new house than a switch
Sorry for the small rant... If it ain't broke, don't fix it, but the French seem to have the wrong translation of that sentence.
i had this exact problem last week mate. I was dreading it was the BSI
all i had to do was take the wiper assembly apart and change the motor for one for the scrappy, your problems sound just like mine, it doesnt know where to stop its wiping so just stops
where in the uk are you based, i would be willing to help ya if your in the south

its to cut down on wiring, but as it was a new technology its going to have problems, Volvo first implemented the idea back in 1986 in the 480, they called it a CEM, and believe me these are far worse than the BSi

Lol, didn't realise the 480 had the precursor to the 406 system. Explains alot, couple next door to my parents had one and it was pot luck each morning if everything worked when they turned the ignition, was quite amusing to watch him ranting at the car every so often
Everytime I've seen wipers behaving like this it's been the Wiper Motor itself. The motor has a built in park switch which stops the wipers at the bottom of the screen, once the switch is knackered the wipers will doing all sorts of things, but park
