yes welly getting them chromed properly would be right thing to do
but removing them looks a little to time consuming as i use the car
daily on the other hand getting some from a breakers and having them
chromed and swapping could be a possibility i suppose or lastly you
could tell me where you live and i could call and you could do it for me
while i have tea and crumpet with mrs welly
Dropping the roof lining should be a relatively easy job in an estate. I've had to drop mine once and it's tricky in a coupe, but that's only becuase there's nowhere to put yourself. It's really quite straight forward and methodic, with screws and no clips to break.

yes would agree with you there neil except haynes (and i do know they are to rigid at times)
says that even the front screen and rear side windows have to come out and dont
even give you a guide as how to do it
Only problem with trying to spray something like rook bars is trying to get it all covered, under, over and both sides without getting any missed patches.

right there neil was thinking might be easier with airbrush but like you
said its the backside where you cant see , unless you come at it from the
other side of car
