NEW RECORD!!!

I made 53.9 MPG on the way home last night - from central Manchester to Stoke. Clear roads and slipstreaming riiiiiight up the arse of a boat being pulled by an artic... The truck was being very careful not to brake or accelerate hard so I knew i'd be safe getting nice and close :)
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Well your consumption equates to 33mpg so it's not toooooooo bad but could be better. Depends on your driving style, I guess.

I am getting 45mpg out of my 2.1TD, but a lot of it is motorway/A roads driving. Normally, it would be around 42mpg and I certainly don't drive like a granny!

Er... well I used Google's converter thing. Not sure if it's using American gallons though, which is about 1L less than a "normal" one (silly Americans)
