We all love 406's but what do you hate about them?

Adore my 406.

However, could well do without all the Torx fittings and the s*dding clutch; it can be a nightmare.

Strangely, I've not had any problems with torx, every time I undo one I think "at least it's not one of crappy easy-to-round-off phillips ones".

Gearboxes are a delight too, 'tho the one on the '8 is starting to get a bit notchy, but that's kind of what you'd expect at 217tkm.

If you're always supposed to take the negative lead off the battery first, why is it my '9 has a quick release on the positive??

What about how the front edge of the front doors that catch on the hinge bolts if allowed to go just beyond the check strap on a windy day!! The result; an outward dent that looks like its been shut with a screwdrive stuck in it!!!

I forgot one!

The water 'tray' on the saloon where the boot shuts to the bumper. That sucker holds loads of water which enjoys 'dribbling' out for ages after you (think) you've dried the car

everything except the ride ! duff wipers keep blowin fuses (defeated our man at peugeot told me they were ok) been ok for year today heavy nafin rain wipers fuse aghh.Quaint way my radio automaticaly changes stations ( I think its not keen on radio 4 ).

mines not too bad except

the crappy hand brake
everything is done up with torx screws or bolts
indicater stalk
the d8 haynes manual that talks about the front calipers and pads while showing the pics of the rear calipers and pads
only one rear fog light ..grrrrrrr
seat height adjuster that suits itself until you think "where's my bonnet gone???"
the fact that no matter how you adjust your mirrors you just cant see the sodding boot even tho you know its there
estates are exempt from the 1 above for obvious reasons lol
