Heat reflective windscreen good or bad?
My pug is due its mot very soon. The screen needs replacing as the chip is in the drivers line of vision any ideas if i could ask fom a heat relective screen and it would be the same fit as my standard tinted one? My pug has rain sensitive wipers but that is. Any help i would appreciate it also does do what it says on the tin keeps car cooler and less sun relfection?

I would try and get one
They were standard fit on 406's from about 2002 I believe?
I think they look pretty good too, and if they do keep the interior a bit cooler then, well, cool.
You'll have to be pretty cheeky with the windscreen place when you arrange the work, you'll have to sew the seed of the reflective screen but in a round about way acting like you don't know too much about it but you've noticed it's a funny colour and was told it was 'reflective' etc.
(I just did this with her indoors car to gain a Sun-Strip) the actual fitter couldn't be bothered what you have to be honest.

..or place the nav on the corner of the windshield near the side mirror. Won´t distract the signal I´m told.ThePrisoner wrote:Yeh but you can get GPS antenna's cant you?

I've got a heat reflective screen on my pug.
you can either put the sat nav up near the rear view mirror or down as close to the side mirror as you can and it will work fine.
I find if it's by the side mirror ittakes a few mins to get the signal but once it has it's fine and does not lose it's signal.

Peugeot seem to have changed so many things you wouldn't have expected I wouldn't assume anything anymore. I just had a look online and nobody seems to want to tell you anything, I even had a look on the Saint-Gobain Sekurit site.
I reckon it needs a call to your local friendly car windscreen co.
