2.2 HDi SRI?

Post by TooT »

Is there such a model? I didnt think there was till i saw this. http://www.mddmaindealerdirect.co.uk

Cant quite see what the badge is on the wing. Looks like SRI but it could be SE spec?

I quite fancy it too. Hmmmmmm :cheesy:

Yep they is a 2.2 v6 HDi, think its 136bhp ish. I've heard the Cam Belt tends to snap early tho.

No thought necessary, says 136 on the ad. Not sure about the cam but it's similar to the 2,0 so same caveats apply.

With 16 valves - that would make it 2.66 valves per cylinder
Remember - it only takes a few inches of water to drown a 406 don't make the same mistake I made! The V6 Exec is no more.

I haven't heard of a 2.2 Hdi, are you thinking of the new 2.7 HDi V6?

As far as I know the 2.2 Hdi is just a plain old 16 valver (I know mine is)

No what im getting at is that the car advertised is 2.2 HDi in SRI specification.

Far as i know the SRI only came with a 2.2 petrol engine. Either it is mega rare or ive been living under a rock?

There's no lising for a SRi HDi on Parker's either. Might have been a special request by a private buyer (stranger things have happened) or a cock-up by the dealer, I can't read the badges anyway.

I suppose if they put the 2.2HDi in the coupe, no reason not to put it in the SRi aswell.

The 2.0 turbo was released as the SRI (with the nasty nasty nasty d8 sri interior) before it got shoved into cars with the executive trim AFAIK
