Re: Turbo timer
Right i cant remember which each of the wires are but you should have a small installation manual with your turbo timer.
I cannot stress enough do not attempt this without the use of a electrical tester. For the sake of spending £10 if you havent already got one you may save a big repair bill on the systems electronics.
You need to find a constant 12v feed. Now in order to do this with ignition key off use the black end of your electrical tester against a bare nut or something that will work as a ground. Then one of them 3 red wires if you poke the probe in will give you a 12v feed. This is your constant power supply that you require.
You then have an 'accessory on' turn the key once so your stereo comes on and using the same process as above find the new wire that is sending a 12v feed.
Then you will have the 'ignition on' turn the key until all your dash lighs are illuminated without the engine running and using the same process as above find the new 12v feed that is coming through.
Lastly hook yourself a ground up somewhere of your choice and voila - give it a go.
Its really easy as long as you take your time, think about what your doing and always use an electrical tester.
Good luck.

Re: Turbo timer
I heard Turbo Timers were illegal anyway. I wouldn't wanna leave a car running and relying on a Turbo Timer to switch it off after 2 mins or so.

Re: Turbo timer
Plod get miffed about a car left idling with no-one in it, something about it being an invitation to thieves
. Best thing to do is sit in it idling for a couple of minutes if you've just be testing the fuel economy...

Re: Turbo timer
Just out of interest can you fit one on a D Executive petrol with the standard alarm fitted as i would of thought the immobiliser cuts the engine so timer will not work ?
