rear bumper adjustment, removal help

Post by Black Pearl »

adoo all,

ive recently noticed that my rear bumper is higher one side than it is the other, how long its been like this i aint too sure, i only noticed because i was doing some work nerby and noticed that the drivers side where the bootlid drops down to meet the bumper is lower than the passengers, would anyone know out there if there is a way to adjust the height of the bumper at all ? the side height is fine, where it runs behind the back wheels up the side of the car, its just the back, ive checked the height of the bootlid and that seems alright, i hate seeing other cars like this, its a pet hate of mine along with trolleys and inconsiderate people who open there doors onto yours  !!!!! someone please help me before i go postal

sorry i forgot to mention my 406 is a saloon

alright matey i had to replace my rear bumper after me appentice decided he was going to hit me (so i gave a bit of a slap) you cant really adj them the bumper is held on by a few 10mm nuts and and studs 2 either side under rear arches and 2 either side inside under rear lights and a couple of bolts under the raer on mine i ended up replaceing all studs and the flat bits of steel and speed clips all cost about £10 from main steeler you might find a couple of the nuts have just come lose
if it aint broke thrash it
