n00b!

Post by DTBEN »

Hey guys,
Just came across this forum as i was searcing for a 406 community to go with my recently purchased 406 2.1td executive :cheesy:

i'm really pleased with the car, the interior of these things is amazing!! anybody have any idea what spec/extras i should find in the cab? i've found the leccy seats etc etc but should they be heated? also is there a cd changer in somewhere? i've found the button for it (i think) but cant find the cd player lol!!!
the exterior needs a bit of a tidy up, its got paint scrapes here n there and a tiny bit of damage to the front bumper, but is nothing that cant be sorted :)

I've got a few plans in my mind eg a tunit box taking it to 170bhpish and possibly some subtle bodystyling but for now i'm just gonna tidy it up :)

Neways, HELLOOOOO!!

excellent choice the 2.1, especially and exec, heated seat switches are next to the hand brake, as for the cd changer it could be in three places, if its and estate, then it will be in the left boot pocket behind the flappy thing, if its a saloon, it will be behind the nsr lamp, or screwed under the rear parcel shelf behind the boot light
as for power, the 2.1 is pretty damn quick as standard, but the stock intercooler is pants and splits easily, its also not very efficient, so change that and go for a decent remap, more effective than a tunit box, and you should see a smokey 160bhp, you'll need a hybrid turbo, injectors and stainless exhaust to go to 170bhp

ohh welcome by the way

yea i wasn't too sure about the internals of a 406 with is why i'm just thinking about the tune atm...is it possible for a fmic on a 406? is there enough space or is it to cramped in there, tis a pretty busy engine bay!

oh i forgot to mention the price, i picked her up from a dealer for £650, full mot, a full service, and a months warranty :D i'm well happy!!!
