FOR SALE 99T V6 Exec

Post by TooT »

Well its got to go because ive gone and bought a new car :(

The Facts -
1999 T 406 3.0 V6 Executive (210bhp)
Mot due October
Tax due end of March
139000 on the clock
Loads of receipts which begin with a computer print out from when it started life as a fleet car.
You all know the spec of the Exec (cant be arsed to type it all out)
Very good condition apart from some knob keyed the boot 2 weeks ago
New battery 1 year ago
New exhaust (from cat back) last August
Aircon not working
Cd changer not working
Outside temp sensor is way off

Cant really think of anything else, all im gonner say its been the most reliable car ive ever owned. No sh*t
Its never not started, never broken down and the two MOTs its had while ive owned it all it has needed is anti-roll bar bushes for the first MOT and last years MOT it needed a wiper to pass

Here she is

If I did not already have a V6 estate, I would be right over :cheesy:

Only question 210 bhp on a T plate? That is the retuned version (V.V.T.) so should be circa 195bhp, which is still good for 149mph!!
Remember - it only takes a few inches of water to drown a 406 don't make the same mistake I made! The V6 Exec is no more.

You don't know how tempting this'll be to me if my tubby fails its MOT on account of that rear seatbelt!
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

That, is one cheap motor :o

I suppose if we're honest then the true value of our cars is rather shocking.

I was thinking that my T plater is not really worth selling on. I might aswell get the use out of it and then 'part it out' as the americans would say.

Indeed, that sort of money makes them disposable - I suppose it reflects the amount of faults people expect them to have. Gone are the days when it was rust (or being severely bent) that wrote cars off. Head gasket gone? BSI up the shoot? Scrap it and buy another!

ps. they cost 5x as much here, I hate you all

I'm just waiting for a nice V6 607 exec to come up for £200.00

I hate the way people think Peugeots are poor as we all know here that (particularly the 406) is excellent and less trouble than many 'quality' marques.

Yep. Theres no point f*cking around its got to go, open to offers too.

One more thing. Front brake pads will need replacing soon.

No one has got close to my next ride. A few clues if you want.
I like my 6's luxuries so it has -
Full leather
Auto wipers
Auto lights
6 disc changer
Diesel engine with 6 speed box

I get it thursday night so i will get some pics up at the weekend.

Sounds like the New Mondeo Estate that I specced up the other week, £23500  , I'll wait until the used values drop a fair bit I think..... (by which time the kids will be a bit bigger and I'll prolly end up having a bloody MPV  ).

407 Exec?
