Discuss the 406's Bodywork stuff in here (what parts fit what, what can be interchanged with what etc etc).

If it's R-reg it is definitely D8; the D9's started coming in on the T plate.

You can certainly swap the bodywork over, just watch for your alignment on the bootlid & doors, mark the body before you unscrew the hinges.
The bootlid is a bitch to line up, I haven't had the bonnet off.
If you're planning on swapping out the front doors be prepared to unthread the loom from the door, but the rear doors are plugged.
Hope this helps!

thanks for the quick reply, and thanks for the info.
just a quick one tho, you say mark the body before i take the bootlid and doors off, how and where do i do this, could you just explain in a little more detail please as it sounds like quite a critical thing to get right....
thanks

Just make a mark around the outline of the hinges before you take anything off. It makes life a lot easier when you're lining up!
And support the bottom of the doors with a trolley jack & a lump of wood beford you take them off if you're doing it alone, and make sure you've got the window wound down so you can reach through to keep it balanced!!

If you've already got rear electric windows it's a piece of cake, it's all connected through the screw-in jack on the door.
If you haven't though you'll need to make up the loom to go the drivers door etc. It is possible, I converted my LX to GLX spec including all the electrics early last year.
