car steaming up

Post by locoboy »

Hi guys,

My car had recentl;y started steaming up when parked in the sun at work,

Something damp inside me thinks.

Lifted up the rear seats and the sound deadening undet them was all wet un the well.

took it out and there are rust bubbles in the bottom of the well where the rear seat base locks onto the bottom of the well.

there is a bung on passengers and drivers side under the back seats which i can only assume have been letting road spray/puddles in.

Im planning on just using some sealer and sealing them up - nowt wrong with that is there?

Also are there any other bungs i should check for water ingress?
Its a 2.1TD Estate 1998

Thanks
