I have an allen key vent on the T housing and a valve cap on the heater matrix feed.

Stevie: your mashed coke bottle is no match for my ubber welly designed temporary expansion bottle (made from a plastic 'malvern hills' mineral water bottle and the butchered remains of one of those stamp/sponge stamp licky post office dippy finger wetty rubbery things) 8)

I shall get a pic of it to show you  heck, we could have a 'who's made the best temporary filler' thread 8) (but don't tell mjb cos he says you don't need to do it like that :) )

I haven't even managed to work out where to put the water yet.

All my other cars has an opaque bottle which showed you teh level of the water etc. I can't find anything remotely like that.

I will be consulting the manual when I get home.

As you stand at the front of the car, it's on the left in front of the power steering reservoir, next to the engine ECU.

Water reservoir filler shock - the D9's smaller than the D8! (I had to unwind some of the tape)

Indeed! I don't see why you guys insist on such messy solutions... Just park up on a camber or with the right wheels on the kerb, or run over a small fat kid... (ok that last one may be a bit messy)
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

shops like lidl, and poundstretcher usually have weird and whacky products that are meant to cure all your cars storage problems, it all depends what stock they have in at the moment

Accept no substitutes. I have a similar one from Lidl and it's perfick. The velcro holds it against the wall and floor, so it stays put.
