odometer milage

Post by raw »

hi all got a problem with my 1996 pug 406 1,9tdLX just replaced the clock binicle for one with a rev counter everything works brilliant though on the digital display showing milage on my old clocks it's showed true milage 115.000 miles now the new one is showing 261.000 miles tried disconectting battery but still showing 261k. i thought the mileage was stored in the ECU is there anyway quick fix for this as mot is due in a few weeks and with in a year it's going to look good that i have covered 145.000miles round abouce. tried to see if old display fits but it's a different connection setup the new clocks are from a scrapyard 1995 GLX model.any help would be appricated.

I'd think it's stored on the ecu in D9s, what you've got there is the mileage from your "donor" vehicle.

Only thing I can suggest is a trip to the dealers with both units...
