I travelled 300 motorway miles on Saturday and got a solid 50.6 MPG on the way there (80MPH) and 48.2 MPG on the way back (90MPH) this week on the work runs I'm going to see how long I can hold the (now dropped to) 47.1 average.
More worrying was the 6" dia patch of engine oil? PAS fluid? gearbox oil? on my drive on Sunday morning after the fast run really must get that looked at (needs to be up in the air).
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work
I'll soon see what its like between march and april. I'm doing some long distance driving in it, and fingers crossed it will show its true colours then.

That's incredible! I would have thought it would be far more thirsty! I must connect the trip computer on mine to see what I'm getting (where's the scared smiley!)

I so so so badly miss the trip computer. I took it out the other day and sadly found out the 2nd row isn't connected so I need to repeat all my work installing it.
Anyone happen to know if the Bosch MP7.0 ecu is pin-compatible with the MP3.2 as far as trip computer goes?

That's strange, I though all the V6's came with trip computer as standard
Can't hurt to tap into the ecu wire to see if it's giving any data out, or even to see if there is a wire 1362! (Why that number is ingrained in my memory I don't know )
I'll post you up another connector, I grabbed a spare when I was at the breakers. You'll see what I mean about them slotting together!

If you could post it up, I'd love you forever Saves me having to solder a bunch of wires to the trip computer pcb, feed them caaaarefully round everything and out through the hole in the back of the case and solder them up to a db9 connector ;)

Aargh! The brain is going! That could have been a nasty balls up on my part if I'd spliced into t'other wire!
PM your address & I'll pop it in the post tomorrow. Didn't cost me anything, it "dropped" into my toolbox!

Why do you like running your car down to the fuel light? You do realize that its not very good for the pumps and injectors as it fills them with crap from the bottom of the tank?
In the vectra I used the reserve (red light) as a quarter of a tank. I knew that I could get at least 100 miles from that.
I didn't want to do that on the Peugeot because of how much it would be to repair the fuel pump etc. So as soon as the light comes on I put more diesel in.

Fuel always comes from the bottom of the tank, and any crap that gets in should get caught by the fuel filter, non?
Running to the last couple of drops in the tank used to save me from having to fill up twice a week...
