How do they get anything done?

Post by steve_earwig »

From the good ol' BBC - Google your way to a wacky office

I spent my whole working life being treated like sh*t in buildings that seemed to have been designed with suicide in mind so this seems rather strange to me. Who'd have thought it tho, regarding your employees as slaves isn't the best way of getting work out of them.

Google generates revenue primarily through two programs: highly targeted advertising and online search services.
From Google Corporate Information: Quick Profile

"highly targeted advertising"? That would be stuff like at the bottom of this very page, which, whenever I look at it, seems to target us with American products and services and stuff wholly un-Peugeot related.

I've no idea how they make money out of free search engines either but I presume they do more for you if you pay (maybe doing basic searches for the very rich and very stupid).

I don't really understand how photobucket and youtube make their money either. I've never followed up ANY adverts I've seen on line :?

My work's canteen;

Not really somewhere you'd want to be sliding to...

(To be fair I should point out that, as the microwave was of unknown origin, I never used it)

At my works canteen I have to carefully coordinate the opening of the fridge door with the removal of any hot kettle/cup for health and safety reasons :lol:

There is a flexible braided hose hanging from a copper mains water pipe in the corner and I liberate the water supply by jamming a teaspoon into the quarter-turn slot of the service valve. On the floor is a bendy rubbery plasterers' bucket which requires emptying down the toilet (which I also daren't show you).

You decide? and why are my 'super phone' 5mp pics blurry?
