Symbian OS does have its advantages, like installing extra programs but I agree the interface is slow compared to the home grown nokia (S40) os. You kind of get used to the slowness thou, much like a windows PC :)

Nokia solved the performance problems on the N95 by running it on an ARM11 instead or a ARM9.

Is it the E65 that has wifi so you can browse the net on it for free and make skype calls (providing you in range of a suitable wireless network)?

The E65 does have Wi-fi but unfortunately there isn't a release of Skype that you can use, so I am using Fring. I've tried locating the version that runs on the Three phones, but no joy.

Its great especially as I set up a fair few wireless networks as part of my job.

I want to go with Three purely because of the free skype/msn. I communicate a lot via Skype (chat) with clients, and when I am away with the family or visiting other people, it would be nice to be able to deal with things there and then.

From what I understand text messages are not received via 2g/3g communications as you were able to receive messages whilst in calls.

This is between the phone and your provider. Your phone doesn't seem to be registering on the network properly, which means the messages are held until you do, which would have happened when you turned the phone back on.

The best thing to try first, is to manually disconnect from your network and then connect to a completely different network, and then connect to your original network.

If you look in your manual, you will see how to change networks on the phone, usually used when your abroad. Basically, when you connect to a completely different network, your network shows you as disconnected, but because your not on that network, it doesn't let you connect. Then you connect to your correct network and this will force the system to connect you properly, if not then you must call the network.

I'd leave that as is. As for Cell Info Display, the last time I actually saw it working, it displays the Area code on your phone so when you dial local numbers you do not need to enter the area code. But i've never had that work on any mobile, only seen it working on someone else's.

Go to Menu--Tools--Setting--Network--Operator selection and select Manual. It should show up Orange, t-mobile, o2 and vodafone. Select one that is not your network and it should say registration failed. Then search again and select your network. It should work straight away.
