Heater fan has started failing intermittantly (don't you love Peugeots?), and I thought I'd have a poke around the ignition switch as it seems a common failure point.
So Haynes in hand I took off the shroud, but when it said turn the key to first position and remove the retaining clip I got stuck (doesn't take much with me!). Where on the pic should I be looking for the retaining clip?
Any other hints towards diagnosing the fan problem gratefully received!
Hm, on mine when the heater fan stopped working it was simply a loose connection to the fan motor itself. It's under the passenger's glovebox so fairly problem to being kicked by passengers etc...

Yeah, one of the few things that seem to have a 50% failure rate - there's been a pile of these go recently
Take out the studs holding the soundproofing in under the passenger footwell, get on your knees and you'll see the blower under there. Chances are the single thick red wire going into it has fried itself on the connector where it goes into the fan. If you want to remove it, it's 3 philips screws to remove, but you'll need to pull out the main connector going into the fan unit at the back, and there's a 1-pin connector hidden at the front by the fabric-covered loom you'll need to unclip from the fan. These can be painfully tight
