radio/ out side temp

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

I hate to say it, your temp sensor is shot. The same happenned to mine, luckily I had a spare thermistor from an old wing mirror carcass. It lives in the passenger wing mirror. You have to take the glass out then it unscrews from beneath the motor assembly. Easiest way is to cut the leads and solder your replacement in.
My outside temperature was 38c during that cold spell we had a few weeks ago!

Actually considering the fault happened when the trip computer was removed, it could well be a dodgy connection.

Take the display out and unplug/plug the connector a few times, see if that fixes it.

Thanks I have now found out that this can happen if removed so I am going to get it reset first as it is linked in to the air con too.I have asked a auto electrician and he has reset four or five now .he said it dos not help as a lot of people remove them to try and get the trip/mpg part working
