Dunno what oil they use other than it's semi-synth, but put it this way - it's what I fed my legendary tubby with!

That's good enough for me!

Edit: Thinking that through, how on earth can they do it for £20?! A gallon of decent oil costs about £25, the filter was £7, labour on top of that, disposal of old oil!

It costs you £25/gallon for oil, I doubt they go to Halfrauds for theirs ;) And you can get filters for pennies at factors...

Of course you're right, I worded that slightly wrong; I meant how much it would cost me to do it. You can't go wrong at £20!

yep, I let Hi-Q tyre services do mine for years, they use castrol magnatec from commercial barrels. If I get all the bits it will cost me around £19, so for £20 they can do it, I don't get covered in oil and they dispose of the horrible waste stuff :cheesy:

Perfect timing, just comming up for my tubby's oil change. £20 sounds good to me 8) . I take it this is for all engines, even the old 2.0L turbo?
Will have to have a wonder over to National Tyres next time I get five mins without something else going wrong on the old girl

It's a long way to go to save a few quid and a bit of a mess.

We're gonna have to sort out a get together one of these days, it'd be nice to put a face to people I chat to on here! I've met James, that's about it!

I've met 4 of you, one I've known for ages (neildavies), two I met at the meet last year (captain jack and puggy) and one I met a couple of weeks back (darrenwall). :P 8) Not a bad score considering we've got 1500+ members!
