My 406 - 1st time owner

Post by johnfoss »

Hi all.

This is my 406, bought last Sunday, it's a 98 2.1td GLX, one owner, 138,000miles and full service history, MOT til December, I paid £995.oo for it, seemed a fair price-

This is the first time, I've ever owned a 406 and have to be honest, am well impressed, much more comfortable than my Passat tdi 8) (tin hat on) and seems to drive well.

Comments, criticism etc welcome.

Regards

John

Is that China Blue or Delft Blue - can't really tell cause of the light?

Looks a minter though - good luck with it :)

Those are D9 colours aren't they? It's the same colour as the 3 I've bought, which is Rhodes Blue (on the '97 cars) and Calypso Blue (on my '98). Dunno why they changed the name...
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Maybe they are called different things in different countries? I know my car is China Blue and another 406 owner I know has a blue 406 which is more of a "royal blue" - this is called Delft Blue...

China Blue is a tad purpleish depending on how the light sits!
