when i used to do fuel drain outs, i would remove both fuel lines from the tank, then make a tool to attach to the return line, so i could pressurize the fuel tank and it would expel into the supply line, it would take a few hours and i would get coverd in a nasty petrol/diesel mix
then i would clean the fuel lines with diesel, refit, fill the tank with diesel, remove the filter housing, with a hand primer pump, flush the HP pump, replace the filter housing, the prime the fuel system for 60 seconds then it should start on the button, it would rattle for a few seconds the settle down

Hi Darren :D I'm new to pug forum, just bought my 2nd had it cheap so obvo there are a few minor probs concerning me so was trying to sus out what they were on here, mentioning in my post that would take my pug to pug/citroen specialist in cardiff, Dai Rees said you had a problem with a specialist garage so thought I'd better check with you which one it was! The one I spotted was off Newport Rd, Roath/town end. Cheers Saffy :)

Scary. I used to live round there! Glenroy Street in fact. The kebab house just at the City Rd end of there was the first kebab house (of several *cough*) to give me a tab because I was such a good customer... 8)
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

I took mine to the european car services (or something similar) and they seemed allright with me. I may well be going back there soon for a cambelt change.

Don't forget to get the chain-drive and tensioner for the second camshaft changed in the head.

Were you planning on a Holiday this year? :P

European Car services in Cardiff and also There's one in Bridgend that well recommended. I've been there for an Mot, but can't remember the name of the place. It's something straight forward like Peugeot & Citroen Specialist I think.
