Mom doesn't drive, and dad's already got 6 points - can't afford another 3. Besides, his insurance doesn't cover other cars.

Well I've spoken to a shockingly nice chap at Staffs Police Central Ticket Office who's sending me another copy of the NIP and let me know that yep it was exactly where I thought albeit on my high-speed run northbound. Thankfully it's only 81mph so it's an SP30 on my licence and £60 to the "safety" camera donut fund.

dont be sad steve , think of it as a wise and worldly travelled hound

I got an SP50 in 2000 - does that make me a lunatic?

Don't worry m - think of your License as 'slightly soiled' rather than 'dirty' :cheesy:

See if they'll offer you one of those "speeding is naughty" courses. My brother in law got an SP30 and took the course and they waive the points.

Mine's nearly 16, old enough to have sex and a smoke afterwards!

It shouldn't affect your insurance at all then Matt!
I thought the minimum age for Smoking was 18 now?

Written NIP's must be delivered within 14 days, unless you were driving a company/rental car. I would send them a letter stating you have not received the original NIP and would like a copy (recorded delivery of course).

Take a look at http://www.pepipoo.com/ which should give you a lot of information regarding your rights etc.

If you go past a fixed or mobile camera which was obscured by something, i.e. hidden, I would turn around and take a picture of it in the direction you were original travelling. They are not allowed to hide in bushes etc.
