Why Stainless?

I don't know of any aftermarket off the shelf systems as there is no market for them :|

A mild steel exhaust for a Diesel engine should last around 7 years usually more - they only corrode from the OUTSIDE which you can be prevented by a coating of VHT paint (especially at the bracket positions). Petrol exhausts corrode more from the INSIDE as they produce lots of condensation and corrosive fluid in the silencers etc. luckily Diesel engines don't do this.

I don't think you will gain any long term saving by going stainless.

Oh you will, the stainless will out last the car, so you can sell the exhaust on when you scrap the car... and as I found out a stainless exhaust is half the price of a standard set of pipes from the stealer... ! !

its worth it especially if you get a full 3" turbo back system, including decat, you will have MUCH less lag, it will rev more freely and you will have some torque and bhp, well worth it

It'll also annoy your neighbours, give you a headache, and make you look a right nob ;P

only if you get one with a stupid rear box, a well made exhaust wont be noisy if you dont want it to be
