Wake up Climate Control - Summer's here!

Yesterday I got my first 'blast' of the season as my wing mirror decided it was 21deg C outside and put the climate into 'full monty' mode a reassuring sign that it will work properly again this season. Of course it wasn't actually 21 deg - more like 17 but the car was sat in the sun in a bubble of warmth

I still think the 406 climate is the best system I have ever experienced - compared to Japanese and German that is.

Have you been 'blasted' yet?

Yup, I've had 2 noticable blasts this year so far, yesterday being the most convincing

When do we get to the "it's hot and my car's overheating because I haven't bothered to look at the fans since last year" threads? Or the "my sunroof's stuck!" ones??

No i bloody well haven't as mine is not working (soon to be resolved with the
fitting of a new compressor i hope ) and i think this this was posted with the
sole intention of making me cry , and it worked

Are you sure it's the compressor? - they're pretty tough old things.

cheers welly but after having the pipes changed and the condensor
it was working fine for a while then the compressor wouldn't kick
in again, it had fluid running out the back where the pipes go into
it . Mechanic said common fault on a/c systems that had been left
empty for a period of time the seals pop when they are re gassed
result = no gas so pressure switch will not allow comp to engage
and no gas means no oil in system which is why comp was rattling
its tits off before it stopped

I got a similar blast yesterday also.

My coop was convinced it was 24 oC outside.

No teamster think postage would be high due to weight so am
considering delivering it myself as long as you cover my fuel
costs ... i think thats right !!
