Hi there....
I have just brought a 406 2.0 turbo petrol and well browsing the net I found a site that recommended remapping the ECU to get "sports performance” and MPG to live nicely together just wanted to know how hard this would be to do and would it actually work!
Also does any one know and thing that can be done to the engine to improve torque and hp on a budget.
Any ideas would be appreciated
Thanks guys

Remapping is mainly for Diesels, for Petrol you need a Super Chip or something like that.

thanks
have been looking around found some stuff on turbos jus it all seems to sugest changing the turbo for an affter market one
do you think that the standered turbo would be up with coping with moding as its running a nearly 1 bar already

Std turbo will run 16 p.s.i with the exhaust changed and regular oil changes... circa 2000 miles. You will also need to have it chipped, as you wont last long running that lean... 1 bar is noooo good for stock everything. If you want to keep your 1 bar, then for the time being get yourself a rising rate fuel regulator. STD peugeot ECU is equipped to deal with 0.9 bar of boost.. you are overboosting!Swift wrote:thanks

The stock T25 will provide 210 - 220hp with the correct mods.
