Eh? Care to enlighten me?
The coop is no less prone to problems than the saloon.
Put 20K on mine since June. Not a squeek.

Whee! It's fixed £222 later :D He had to replace the drop link and the driveshaft gaiter as well as this got damaged when the car "dropped". It actually drives perfectly now with NO knocks whatsoever.....

However, I *am* gonna look at a new car anyway.. the Honda Accord 2.2CDTi Exec  But I might keep this one - if I can find somewhere to keep it... :?

I was referring to the 2.2 HDi engine and its various FAP filters and fluids that I *no idea* about. Oh and a DMF :? Your coop has none of those things so it will be just fine for years to come 8)

..........the 407 sw 2ltrHDi is becoming a money pit  The high pressure fuel pump has now packed up and the FAP is knackered - total cost, just shy of £1500 - well done Peugeot, another quality product  I suppose I can now look on the bright side, at least these items ''shouldn't'' fail within the next month

Is that how long you reckon it'll take to sell it before another gold-plated component gives up the ghost? :? :cheesy:

The car is just three years old, and now has 98k on the clock. I don't consider diesels to be run in until 130k from past experience. The problem is as I've said before it usually not the Peugeot made product that fails but things made by Bosch etc that give up the ghost.
Steve, I'm looking at the wife's jewellery at the moment and wondering if the dealer would take that in part exchange for the next event!
Mind you I've had new cars in the past where they have needed new gearboxes, ignition systems, exhaust systems,, clutches and so on, so no point in buying a new car either

But at least with a new car you get a warranty!

yeah, but it's still the hassle factor. I bought an off the peg warranty for the 407 so they will be paying for a large chunk of what needs to be done :cheesy:
