I have my car back! Apparently it was done last week but he was execting us to call him  Where did I put my crystal ball? The paintwork is very good, I can see a slight difference between the doors but most people wouldn't. He did only spray the corner of the wing but I can't see the join! (I'll be shining my floodlight on it later) And the "damage" on the wheel seems to have polished out

There's just one problem: that anti-chip pad thing in the bottom rear corner of the door. He's just stuck some sticky backed plastic there like it was Blue Peter or something. He says it's meant to look like that and showed me a Pussat with something similar and the only reason it's under the paint on the other side is it's been resprayed over it some time. But it's the same on both my cars. Anyway, what with my back giving me gip from the cycling and the g/f squeeling that we need the car I accepted it, but we agreed that when I find out what that actually is he'll sort it for me.

So, what is it? I'll go to Pug next time I'm in town and ask them but, in the meantime, can I ask you all to go look at your cars and tell me what you have there?

Anyway, I guess what you'll all be wanting to know is how much. The insurance paid me 5,200Kn (£572) and the repair cost 2,700Kn (£297), a profit of £275, ta muchly :cheesy:

I have an L-shaped sticker on the leading bottom edge of the rear wing about 0.5mm thick and it's most definately painted at the factory.

Glad you seem happy enough with the work, and a nice bit of profit too :cheesy:

Yup, same here, would you like a fotenograff Stevo?

Damn that seems like a lot of work for £300! Good effort :P 8)

A photo would be good thanks, I'm not sure it'd be clear enough but worth a try. Mine look like pads of something-or-other actually underneath the paint, like they were stuck on bare metal before any painting started.

Yes, just think of all the things I could buy now! And then forget them, that's a month's worth of heating oil

Yep, that's perfect, exactly what mine look(ed) like. So, it's not just my imagination - when I told my g/f yours were the same she asked if you were mechanics  Sometimes her ignorance knows no bounds :x :x

All I really need to do now is talk to Pug (hopefully I'll find someone who knows what the hell I'm talking about  ).

Still no joy on the mystery pad, I don't think I'm going to have time to go into town for a while, I'm away at a poxy wedding this weekend (I had to buy a new whistle as my jacket & trouser combo wasn't good enough  and like I can really afford to loose the time), plus I've got my bro and his family coming next week (ditto, drop everything and be a tour guide for a week   ).

Anyway, last pics of the crunchy Glof:

Now I've got my car back I had to go on a massive shopping spree this morning. I parked my Pug as far away from everything as I could but what did I find when I came back??  kill, murder, maim, destroy

That happens to me all the time! I park right out of the way and someone parks right next to me :x

I concluded ages ago it is quicker to park out the way and walk a bit than it is to find a space right near the door like all the other numpties  I'm sure some women would happily drive their cars inside the bloody supermarket isles - reaching for goods a they go

I notice old people in particular park inbetween 2 cars and then struggle to get out when there is a sea of empty spaces close-by :? never understood that :?

I still can't believe that Golf either :|

No, not just someone, usually at least one crappy don't-give-a-toss van for me :x

On the right of Konzum's door is parking for bikes, always at least two lazy bastards have parked there, and on the left there's about 15 disabled parking space, they're usually full too and not one disabled sticker amongst the lot of them. Come on you stupid coppers, get your fat lazy arses out that bar - it's easy money!

I've not seen that (yet) but they usually park the middle of two bays. The drivers here are just soooooo thoughtful :x
