i just found this website - http://www.betterdrivingplease.com/index3.asp# . it makes me angry to think that anyone can post your car number plate details on here for the whole world to see and make out you are breaking the law . isnt it illegal or an invasion of privacy to post someones details online if you THINK they have done wrong ? there is an example on there of someone has taken a picture of a car complete with number plate and posted it all for the hideous crime of parking on a grass verge .
Does anyone else agree that they shouldnt be allowed to do it ?
and by the way im not bitter about it cos someone has posted my details on there ( i checked first )
just dip me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians
The internet is a strange place and if someone takes a picture of something then the copyright of the image belongs to the photographer not the owner of whatever it it (a car in this case).
Images posted on the internet are covered by intellectual property law which states that images can be published on the public domain for fair review and criticism. What you can't do is make out something is your work when it wasn't in this case a simple acknowledgement to the author is required.
Afterall what's wrong with showing a number plate? everyone sees your number plate every day of the week so there's nothing to stop them copying it, following you, pretending to be you etc. the only time you should be worried about your plate being shown is if you were being naughty or you were somewhere you shouldn't be etc. (which you've only yourself to blaim).
It is a bit crappy though and that's what's wrong about the internet too.
Welly.

"This woman driver was driving round the car park one handed looking for a parking space. This was quite irresponsible and dangerous as this car park is very busy with lots of pedestrians, many elderly"
Was flagged as a red-alert on the site with her reg.

These people really do need to go out and get laid.
I wonder how seriously the police do take this. I've never read such a lot of bollocks in my life
