hi all
i have a d8 and was after a d9 grill, as i am going to mess the front end of the car, having looked at the d9 the grill is meshed already
so getting a d9 grill would save a some time...!
then i would have a d8 grill for sale if anyone needs one...or wants to swap it for a d9 one....
thanks all.

D9 grille won't fit on a D8
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

I suppose you could get 2 of them and try to make 1 that'll fit. You'd have to be pretty handy with the tools to make it look good though....

The D9 grill would more or less fit in a physical sense using a stanley knife and some cable ties.
Trouble is, the D9 headlights extend further in towards the centerline than on the D8, so the D9 grill is not as wide, which is why it looks more aggressive.
If you cabletied a D9 grill to a D8 you'd be left with two filthy great big gaps each side of it where the D9 headlights would go.
Can you tell I considered this mod on my D8?

We've been here before mate. You'd need the bonnet, grille, slam panel, and bumper to make the lights fit. I can't remember if the wings needed changing too....
