I use to try pulling hand brake up as hard as possible. Also applying firm pressure on the foot brake at the same time.
But it seems to return

So now to save passengers saying your brake fluid is low

See thats quite interesting. The car is a D9, but I noticed the other week, when the wheels were off, that the front pads are down to the wear sensors. I am changing them this weekend, but I wonder if that is causing the problem? Obviously, I would have thought I would see a warning every time I braked, but these French electrics, anything could happen, and it could be the pads are causing a fault which is being interpreted as something else.steve_earwig wrote:Umm...
What I mean is, on D8s the low brake fluid light and the handbrake light (and presumably the pad wear sensor light) are the same thing on the dash, which is why a dodgy handbrake switch will bring up the light, making you think the brake fluid's gone walkies. On the D9 it's still the same light but the computer display tells you which it is (together with that beep that sounds just the same as the video game my nephew was playing in the back of my car when he was here)
No es verdad!Longintooth wrote:...I suspect that the shoes have some sort of warning switch when they are low or not adjusted correctly.

I will happily do the write up, if you send me the pics, and errr.. let me know what I have to do! Just write it all out to me in a post if you could!supafrisk wrote:This fault has come up so many times in the threads, I think it's about time someone did a sticky in the "How To" section![]()
I have the original pictures from the last sticky if anyone fels up to doing the write-up??![]()
