carbon footprint
wots your carbon footprint ? http://www.carbonfootprint.com/calculator.aspx i just done it and mine was 32 tonnes
i suppose i should give a f*ck but i dont really as i think global warming due to mankind is a myth to get us to pay more taxes , anyone else feel the same way

just dip me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians
Re: carbon footprint
15 tonnes for me and I don't care either tbh
Hopefully I should be able to up it more when I get a new car and bigger LCD for the bedroom.
After-all someone has to take up the slack of all that unused energy thanks to all the people now living in trees to conserve their carbons
Shame the site didn't have any 406s in the drop down menus so I had to select a 407 2.0 HDi which may mean I'm using even less than 15 tonnes

I don't know what the 406 does in the real world - not the bullsh*t figures the manufacturers release.darrenwall wrote:you can put in your mpg instead of saying what car u got cos they didnt have my discovery in thereEric wrote: Shame the site didn't have any 406s in the drop down menus so I had to select a 407 2.0 HDi which may mean I'm using even less than 15 tonnes

Re: carbon footprint
I go along with the belief that any global warming (or cooling) is natural and cyclical. I agree with catalysts on cars but that's about it.
It seems now that any flood or melting ice is instantly blamed on all us lot for not looking after the planet
They should blame the American's (and China)

I'd like to leave an 18 tonne carbon footprint on Gordon Brown's face.

Remember - it only takes a few inches of water to drown a 406 don't make the same mistake I made! The V6 Exec is no more.

Re: carbon footprint
16.2
The national average is 9.8 my arris!!!
I hate it when self riteous wankers quote bolox like that! Is that per person or per household? The national average p/p including all the OAPs and work shy couch potatoes who never leave the house no doubt. Mine is 16.2 for the whole family, so even discounting the kids that's only 8.1 each for me and the wife, well below average!
I believe that mankind is contributing towards climate change, but our contribution is miniscule, estimated to be in the region of 0.5%. The rest is a natural phenomenon.

Re: carbon footprint
Total 6.664
I agree with Dai Rees, global warming is a real phenominon but our contribution is small, it's just been blown out of all proportion to give a rationale to unreasonable taxation.
That's a complete joke, at my girlfriend's we burned 21 cubic meters of wood last winter (try finding that in the energy consumption bit!) and that's for a two bedroom bungalow, the majority of houses in Croatia burn wood (it's by far the cheapest fuel) so how do they arrive at 5.18 tonnes? Answer: it's bollocks. The average footprint for people in Croatia is 5.18 tonnes.

Re: carbon footprint
I would say that the calculator is wrong, mainly beacuse of the housing and car use. Both should be divided by persons sharing.
It would then seem that the average is not that far off the figures we are getting!
