Tax Discs - where's all the pretty colours gone?

Post by Welly »

I've just re-taxed my car on-line and noticed it was a red disc (just like last time). A quick glance at her indoors car confirmed her's was a red disc too but with a different expiry date :o

You used to get a different coloured disc for each time period of the year (presumably so it was easy to spot a wrongly coloured out of date disc).

Has anyone else noticed this?

or should I get out more?

I thought the colour was for the year it expired and not the month/time of year. if they expire in the same year probably same colour.

No, I can't say I have :cheesy: :P

They changed shape here, they used to be round with holes in, now they're square with holes in :? And they've also rescinded the stupid daytime headlamps thing (YAY!!!), now I'll have to get out of the habit of turning the things on all the time :x At least I can use my automatic headlamps now :cheesy:  :cheesy:

They've also raised the blood alcohol limit from 0.0% (there's more than that in fruit juice you dumbasses) to 0.05% (UK = 0.08). It won't make much difference to me anyway, I quite like fruit juice but I don't drink alcohol at all.

They are talking about dropping the limit here at the mo.
From 80 to 50mg I think.

It's more like the political equivalent of popping home lunchtime because you forgot to put your trousers on this morning and hoping no-one says anything
