Interesting Dent

Post by swiss »

So this is the only actual dent I have... loads of scratches but this is the only dent. It's on my boot and it's a bit of a mystery how it got there.

Reckon I could knock this out meself? Or is that likely to knack the paint on the outside?

Asteroid? I don't think you'd have much luck getting that out the metal is streatched so you'd have to loose some, they usually do it with oxyaceteline... yeah, right.

It can be fixed though, check this thread.

That'll be your local garage then Steve

Take a wander down the breakers swiss; you'd be surprised what you can find for silly money.
If you've got a D8 I've got a silver bootlid you can have for £10 if you're ever up surrey way; it's got a deep scratch in it but you'd have to paint it anyway! No dents though.

Interesting, I do frequent Surrey every few weeks... any idea how much a spray would be for the panel?

And for that matter, anybody know how much a complete re-spray would be? I might ask Santa for one come Christmas...

[EDIT] And while we're on the subject does anyone know the name for that metallic dark-green Pug uses? The previous owner chucked in a can of paint but when I went to bodge up some scratches it was darker

I couldn't tell you how much a respray would cost; if you go to servicebox and register a free account you can input your VIN number and it will tell you the paint colour 8)
