where does this go and what does it do?

i know its a sensor for an alarm but where in the car does it reside and also does anyone know the funtion of it?

got it off ebay for a couple of £ ages ago and havent found it yet (cant say i have really looked too hard as i havent removed the interior apart from the centre console....)

anyone got any clues?

What makes you say that? If I were to guess just by the look of it, I'd say it were the battery not a sensor

Having googled, it's the alarm sounder with builtin battery backup.

bugger... cos it was listed as a sensor by a person selling lots of old stock! Also got local dealer to cross ref it with my reg and it said sensor on the arts cat as well if i remember correctly.... defo said alarm tho.

oh well no harm in changing it anyways....

wont fix the alarm probs tho

(deadlocaks wont work and also alarm wont arm.)
