[Swiss Tony] You know, posting threads on a forum is a bit like making love to a beautifull woman - you've got to.... stroke the mouse, press all the right buttons, choose a few smiley's, quickly preview before you've finished, fire the submit button, then stand back, light your pipe and admire your handy work [/SwissTony]

Looks as though that guy with the blue VXR has swapped it for a Nurburgring edition VXR.

I preferred it like it was, there's something like 400 large colour pics on there and killed my poor old laptop

Re: How to get a Proper Shine on it.
In light of "needing to get out more" I was impressed for some reason about the original thread's "Snow Foam" product which he applied with the jet washer as a "pre-wash".
Looking into the stuff, they do a Lance which will fit my Karcher and you can buy 5 litros of the gloopy gobbo soapo for about £12.00 and it will last 36 years etc.
the trouble is the Lance is £50 notes
and kinda makes it a bit silly.
The idea is that you "snow foam" the car and then the thick foam starts to bubble up and lift the dirt to the surface and drip off the bottom
Will you be my best friend?

Or you could use my cleaning method - just hit the headlamp washers while doing 70+ in the rain...
I really can't be bothered dragging buckets of water through the house and half way down the road to where I've been able to grab a parking spot...

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Re: How to get a Proper Shine on it.
hehehe - this thread title states "How to get a proper shine on it" and the google ads bar is promoting "sexy polish girls"
anyway, mjb - my headlamp washers have never worked
do you know what could be wrong? I know they work on water pressure and I've seen the big hoses to them. Is it a separate pump? maybe it's seized? separate fuse?
