Hi you guys,
Back in days before big brother and Gordon Brown it was well known by most that diesel was the Dregs of the refining process then after that kerosene aviation fuel (Parafine) and other sh*t for big ships. So the price was low and it could be got shut of in noisy dirty old diesel engines, now the art of powerful, clean light weight engines for the car arrived and the oil people and politicians realized that Hey some people were going a lot further on diesel (40% more efficient)and they were quieter too, so to even things up a bit they started to charge more for it and so we have the situation we're in today - trouble is that trucks run on this stuff with very big engines to feed and we now have rocketing cost of living since the farmers also use tons of the stuff. If we find alternative fuels do you think for one minute that it will be cheap? - I digressed - sorry

Just had cambelt replaced, which meant timing was checked/adjusted. Pinking has disappeared, so it's possible that cambelt stretch might result in 'incorrect' timing...just a thought.

Interesting - belt stretches, cam timing drifts. Maybe it is that the engine management can't retard the timing enough to compensate. I wonder what mjb'll think :?

But there's is much cheaper and red. It's blue here, I'm just itching to buy an old tractor and drift about all day on cheap fuel in the middle of the road with my l/h indicator going, spraying mud everywhere and chewing a straw... (where's those .50 cal machine guns I ordered?)

Worst of all it's much cheaper than heating oil, gits :x

Very plausible theory. I know mine had done over 100k on its cambelt...

its alot alot better now i used some super unleaded! thanks for the tips, i have now added it to he for sale section lol as i need to get a van for my disco work as because of the boot being a saloon i cant fit everything in
