Wish me luck on the trip home

Post by Eric »

I'm about to drive 25 miles home from work with my left indicator stuck on :?

Wish me luck, I'm going to need it

Car is booked in tomorrow to have the indicator stalk replaced but I think my nerves will be shot by then.

See every time you pass a junction with someone waiting to pull out, and everytime you negotiate a roundabout, BE CAREFUL!

Good luck fella

I was going to say just take the fuse out and pretend you're driving a BMW :cheesy:

Had a quick Google, German & Swedish do the column switch a tad cheaper than Pug, don't know which is yours but it's either 32 or 38 squids (sounds too cheap though, better ring them to make sure)

The other possibility is to storm up to Pug themselves and demand it's replacement under the 1979 Sale Of Goods act (I won't be holding my breath)

RAC man took it all apart and gave it a godo clean out then sprayed with WD40.
He said the stalk is knackered and keeps resting on the contact but it was enough to get me home without problems.

Did some reading on it and found out it was so common the company that made the stalks actually went bust because of all the warranty claims to replace them

Still buying a new car though, working indicators won't change my mind :frown:
