Low Brake Fluid warning when handbrake engaged.

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Totally agree had some funny looks in the supermarket car park   I think people were shocked walking by and seeing one person in the car and not two

Right now to solve my second problem any advice to sort my cd player that does not recognise cd's sometimes or when you return to the car it wont play and it freezes at where it was palying before. I put a laser cleaner through on a weekly basis also it is an intermitent fault like the handbrake problem but some days it gets bloody annoying

Help pleeeeeeeeeeease then my pug will be fault free.  I never thought i would say that about the pug

I think you really need to actually clean the lense with something. Too lazy just now to search for you but I know it's come up on here before.

Right, scrub that reply, always better to hear from someone who's had experience anyway. So, quick question: this silly Clarion single slot player, does it have an pre-amp outputs or anything useful on it? I'm guessing no but I suppose it won't hurt to ask.

Thanks puggy will have a look at the w end :D

My usual option was to put cleaning fluid on the laser lens cleaner on the brush part put it in and hope for the best!!!

Is it the usual pug radios allen keys or something small in the holes to unclip, then pull?

How accessable is it to clean do you have to remove covers etc....

Thanks again as usual always bloody good advice,

yes anything that will fit in the holes then sideways pressure and pull,
i then took the screws out of the sides of the unit with the intention
of lifting the top off but it wouldn't come off but it lifted enough to
see the lens, cleaned it with cotton bud and lens cleaner ,it was well
shitted up ,now works every time :)

My perfect pug :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: No annoying beep and a cd player which i have never heard sound so good 8) . Just to recap for me puggy it was slightly different remove radio with small screwdrivers in the holes and use a small flat blade to prise out nice and gently very easy to do. Then simply two screws on the top cover on each corner near connections end remove these. Then cover slides off nice and easy and lens is on your left in a small cut window. Cotton bud to the ready and cleaning solution job done :D word of warning remeber to remove cd first   Or you will not see the laser   .

Just curious what settings do people have on there players?

Mine is set to loud button on bass +3 treb +2 fad-2 to the rear. I think in the saloon this the best set up and sounds good for a standard system even better now the lens is clean 8)

As usual everday is a school day :D

How on earth can you people live with the standard stereo? Having to get out of the car to change CDs after every 6 hours? Ouch!

Huh? What CD lasts 6 hours? Ahhh, you have one that plays mp3s. Flash git.

I've got a 12 disk changer lurking about somewhere that used to be in the Senny. Quite good when you load it up but after a while you find yourself (at least I do) searching through it for something your not bored with, then eventually taking it indoors to reload and leaving it there  Or the single disk job in the dash, you need a cd carrier of some sort lurking about but you can actually change the thing while you're sitting at the lights.

I'd quite like an mp3, one with a USB slot so I can stick stuff on it and just plug the fecker in, but before I do that I need to sort out the awful speakers somehow. And before that I need to rob a bank...

No, I mean how do people live with the standard 6-disc changer. After 6 hours you've got to get out and waste 10 minutes changing the discs!

I've got one of these: http://www.hendoncarstereo.co.uk/cgi-bi ... id=KDLH811 ignore the blue lcd - you can change the colour so I have mine orange to match the dash (and it dims when the lights come on!)

Wouldn't mind something with a USB slot, but it's really not bad to shove a load on a CDR, and I don't have to get out the car to change it after 10+ hours :) The trouble is there's nothing with anywhere near a clear a screen as my JVC which plays mp3s, so it's not going to be replaced any time in the near future (although it does need a clean)
